This is an invitation to READERS AND NON-READERS!
Times are getting darker and darker. We need to learn, organize, and act fast — so at Unity Bookshop, we've decided to design a few events to collectively tackle what looks like a blurry, protean, and ubiquitous problem resurfacing from the past (as if we were learning from our mistakes!).
So, for the first time, we will stand up (volunteer-based) to read out loud. Umberto Eco, with his concise text on the fourteen points that "wire our brains" on "How to Spot a Fascist," is for us a good medium to frame the multiple ideas of fascism.
If we want to tackle this repetition of history, we'd rather get a clear definition beforehand.
The reading will start at 6:30pm, and we'll read the whole 53 pages before having a collective chat about the book.
