Citizens' assembly #1

Reclaim the narrative. Speak for yourself. Connect with your community.

On Friday 12th June at 6:30pm, Unity Bookshop opens its doors for an evening of drinks and real conversation — the kind that doesn't come with a moderator, a hierarchy, or a script.

We'll talk about the things that bind us as citizens. We'll make space for agreement and for dissensus — because democracy isn't a consensus machine, and a healthy society doesn't fear debate.

What it should fear is the alternative: dumb polarisation, manufactured outrage, and the slow creep of politics built on division and fear.

So let's do something different. Let's think locally, speak honestly, and build something together.

You can suggest a topic, or add a question via the form below — or just show up and join the conversation.
