Losses are a part of everyday life. These artists navigate this terrain of grief, a transitory space that treads between one state of being and another. One discovers a story of hope, the other finds homecoming within themself. Their works invite the audience to wander into the memories, dreamscapes and experiences that bring forth a journey of becoming and belonging.
Watcharita Aroon lives and works in Brussels. She is the founder of Wolkendag Archive, a repository of paraphernalia from graphic artworks, printed matter to souvenirs.
Shuxian Lee is a storyteller displaced from tropical shores. She has a fondness for graphic novels and has illustrated for Asymptote Journal, an online literary journal, and short graphic stories Putu Piring and Through the Longkang, published by Checkpoint Theatre Singapore. Her comics can also be found in Liquid City Vol. 3 and C'est Bon comic anthology.
